Square Enix CEO: Final Fantasy Versus XIII Is Still in Development

Last week you may have read Kotaku’s rumors about Final Fantasy Versus XIII being cancelled. This news were also posted by many gaming sites, but the cancelation of the game seemed very unlikely to us, especially when they released Somnus for Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy as DLC in North American few weeks ago.

Anyway, today the CEO of Square Enix, Yoichi Wada, tweeted this:

“It seems someone is spreading a false rumor about Versus being canceled. Heh, just a few moments ago a regularly meeting for Versus ended. If you were to see the city etc. presented today, you wouldn’t be able to stand from surprise.”

So this means Final Fantasy Versus XIII is still in development and lives on, and isn’t cancelled! We are expecting them to show something new and cool at Tokyo Game Show this year.
