Rise of the Tomb Raider to be featured on the cover of Gameinformer in March 2015! The direct sequel for the best-selling entry in Tomb Raider series sure gives more pressure for Crystal Dynamics, but the team is ready to expand on Lara’s new direction. This time Lara Croft will be heading to ice cold Siberia to hunt for the lost secrets of immortality. She also has to hunt and craft her own survival gear, take on even larger puzzles than before while facing new enemies from an unknown society.
Rise of the Tomb Raider will be released on Xbox One and Xbox 360 this holiday. Gameinformer will be sharing more details later this week and they already published a short interview video to tease the upcoming announcements.

I’m so relieved the game is coming to the Xbox 360 so I can actually play it, but it really does suck for people that don’t own either system. I have a few concerns about whether Crystal D will downscale the graphics for the last-gen version as well, hmm. Regardless, I’m excited that I’ll actually be able to play it!
Saw the coverage, which says the secret society as been “lying in the shadows since the last game.” Really? They’re going into storylines spanning multiple games? Everything is doing that these days. I was hoping Tomb Raider wouldn’t do that, even if they did change the tone. Right. That’s it. This series has officially left me behind. A great pity. Lara Croft was a true inspiration for me.
