In the recent interview by VG247, Toriyama, the director of FINAL FANTASY XIII -saga promises that LIGHTNING RETURNS will be the most complete and polished Final Fantasy game ever.

“Toriyama is happy to share with us more details on Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, “It is the newest instalment in the Lightning saga that began with Final Fantasy XIII and also brings the saga to a conclusion. In the game Lightning will enter the final battle against a fate brought about by a new deity.”
“It will feature direct action battles perfectly suited to Lightning, as well as character customisation, and will really take care to thoroughly embody the character of Lightning herself. The game concept will be very much “world driven” this time round.”
“We are going to build a finely detailed world which changes in real time along with the passing of day and night over 24 hours. The world also has links to our own real world, and will see setups with the world of Final Fantasy entering into our everyday lives.”
“As this is the third title on the current generation hardware it will also be the most complete and polished game in the Final Fantasy series. The game is scheduled for release in 2013 so look out for it.”

Even though FF XIII is not as good as the previous ones, but I still think it is a successful game! Can’t wait for this game! But that 13 days time limit looks a little annoying for me…

Alright the only way this would be the greatest game ever would if Serah comes back!! I wish i was a game maker so i could give them ideas!
thats a very bold statement for a game without a trailer!! I really hope that it lives up to the hype he’s making for it because so far the details given and content shown have been near nonexistent.
Well I’m not employeed at Square but I kinda understand what they are doing with the “no anouncement trailer”. I believe they don’t want to give fans false hopes when we see a 1second frame of Snow or Hope, or someone, and then he doesn’t do much…. I Think they are trying to organize the best they can, and then, after 50% done, they launch a trailer…
I also have a feeling, but thats just a feeling, that they will do everything to launch the game by the 13th of March of 2013 (get it 13/03/13? xDDD just gessing)
If this time they don’t make more CGI, I’ll be so disappointed :/
ok toriyama i believe you, but don’t start making promises like nomura or start to flatter the game like other companies with their games (things like “it’ll be the best ever” yeah i’m watching you ubisoft) xD
