It’s finally official—the remastered versions of Final Fantasy X and X-2 are due to hit the Japanese game store shelves on the 26th of December this year.
Both games have received gorgeously updated character models and textures along with a fully remastered soundtrack. It has also been confirmed that both remastered games will have content from their International versions, meaning that the episode Last Mission from X-2 International will be added as well. This would be a first for Western players.
The video Eternal Calm which takes place between the events of X and X-2 will be included along with the newly-written 30-minute audio drama that follows one year after the events of X-2 by one of the original scenario writers of X, Kazushige Nojima.
There are still no definite release dates for North America and Europe, but localization process is ongoing.
