Quite some time ago Square Enix launched a DeviantArt contest on designing a garb for Lightning in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Three winners were personally chosen by Tetsuya Nomura himself, and today Square Enix revealed his very own sketches of the winners’ designs! What an honor! View them all close-up below.

Oh yeah – i was following this competition – although i didnt enter myself (im terrible with coming up with my own designs but i love seeing others come up with such wonderful work)
All the ones that entered were sooooo good! – many of which shouldve been in the game! :)
The prize for winning was pretty awesome – and they all got a drawing done by Nomura himself (i love his handwriting btw xD )
I always like looking at Tetsuya’s work. I just wish I knew what kind of brush he uses (at least the lines in the drawing look like strokes from a brush ^-^)
