According to Shonen Jump, Final Fantasy Explorers will be released in Japan on 18th December

Final Fantasy Explorers is an upcoming action RPG for the Nintendo 3DS. The game heavily focuses on multiplayer features and it’s possible to experience with four players. Don’t you worry, you can also play  the whole game solo but multiplayer is available as local and through Wi-Fi connection.

Final Fantasy Explorers is a very similar experience to Monster Hunter games but according to the developers they wanted to make a game more like a light version of MMO games such as Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The story is set in a world where adventurers called “explorers” explore the island of Amostra to recover magical crystal in order to prosper mankind. The journey won’t be easy because these crystal are being protected by powerful traditional Final Fantasy summons such as Ifrit and Ramuh.

Final Fantasy  Explorers will be featuring lots of traditional and new RPG jobs, which can be customized in different ways. For example, you can also make a “Battle White Mage”, if you like. The new scan reveal new jobs such as Ninja and Time Mage. Ninja job will be focusing on dealing damage by relying on high agility and speed stats. Similar to Bravely Default: the time mage deals magic based damage but is also capable to heal your party.

The scan also introduced “Trance Mode” which boosts your characters stats for a certain amount of time. It’s very similar to the limit break.
