Isamu Kamikokuryo Sketches Noctis from Final Fantasy XV

Final Fantasy XIII art director, Isamu Kamikokuryo has sketched and published a new Noctis artwork on Twitter. The picture is captioned with “Happy New Year” greetings to the fans. Isamu Kamikokuryo started as an art director for Square Enix in 1999. He is best known for his work with Final Fantasy XII and the Final Fantasy XIII saga.

Let’s speculate: Could this mean he is the art director in Final Fantasy XV as well?

  1. Kamikokuryo is the best artist at SE, but this isn’t his best work.

    XV’s art style is quite beautiful, and some of the airship designs do resemble his style, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was him (though I thought it was going to be Naora). I’m guessing that he is working on the game in some fashion, and either way, I hope he’s the art director for XVI.
