This will be the first time we will be seeing the developers talking about the game and showing it for the fans. By clicking the video player below, you will be able to see how many hours there are left before the show starts.
Mevius Final Fantasy is a brand new iOS / Android game, releasing in Spring 2015 in Japan. It is trademarked by Square Enix in Europe, Japan and North America as well. The developers are planning to create an experience that can even compete against the numbered Final Fantasy and console games. The team sounds very ambitious about their new project and all developers have been working on mainline Final Fantasy games before. Yoshinori Kitase (FFV-LRFFXIII, KH, SaGa…) will be producing the title, Kazushige Nojina (FFVII, VIII, X, XIII, XV, KH…) is the scenario writer and Toshiyuki Itahana (FFIX, XIII-2, LRFFXIII, Crystal Chronicles…) is in charge of character designs.
The latest issue of Famitsu reveals that Sarah Cornelia is joining in Mevius Final Fantasy cast. It’s not exactly same lady as in Final Fantasy I, but they both are princesses. In Mevius Final Fantasy, Sarah is the princess of royal family of Paramitia and she has been imprisoned into a giant crystal. Our hero known as “Wol” (reference to the Warrior of Light) discovers her, after waking up in a mysterious world without any memories. Wol has no idea where he is coming from and his only choice is to set forth and walk onward. There is a mysterious voice calling him out and guiding him along his path. Could this be Sarah’s voice?
Mitsuto Suzuki is composing the original soundtrack for Mevius Final Fantasy. He is well-known from his composition work in Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII soundtracks, but he has also worked on The World Ends With You and The 3rd Birhtday music, for example.
