The Last Remnant Released on App Store & Google Play in Japan

Square Enix has released The Last Remnant on App Store and Google Play in Japan . Similar to Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2 mobile, the game utilizes cloud and streaming technology.

The Last Remnant is set in the world ruled by four races (mitra, yama, qsiti and sovani) and filled with mysterious artifacts known as “Remnants” β€” beneficial tools used for the good of civilization. But as always, such powers have a great impact on the balance of the world. This leads to many conflicts between cities and eventually it becomes a rift formed between those who ruled and those who obeyed.

This was the dawning of a new era β€” an era of countless frays that would be brought upon the world by those enslaved by their own lust for power. A thousand years later, the journey of Rush Sykes begins as his sister gets kidnapped at the beginning of the war.

The Last Remnant was originally released for Xbox 360 on November 20, 2008. A few months later it arrived for PC as well. The game was directed by Hiroshi Takai, produced by Noboyuki Ueda and written by Masata Yaki, Miwa Shoda and Akitoshi Kawazu. The soundtrack was composed by Tsuyoshi Sekito and Yasuhiro Yamanaka.
