Square Enix has released “Final Fantasy XIII-2” on iOS and Android. Similar to “Final Fantasy XIII”, the game is using cloud technology and is streamed to your device – and the controls are optimized for the touch screen as well. It’s possible to try a free demo for 30 minutes or purchase the full version for 2 400 yens. The service is currently available only in Japan.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 takes place three years after the events of Final Fantasy XIII. It follows the story of Serah’ and Noel’s journey across time and space to prevent the end of the world. They are also looking for Serah’s missing sister, Lightning, who has turned into a knight of the goddess with a mission to protect Valhalla.

Originally, Final Fantasy XIII-2 was launched on January 31, 2012 in North America and February 1, 2o12 in Europe. The game is now available for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Now and smartphones.
