Celebrating Final Fantasy XIV’s third anniversary, Square Enix has announced that the game has reached six million cumulative players globally — excluding free trial!

To honor the momentous occasion, the Final Fantasy XIV development team played hosted to a 14-hour live broadcast where they introduced and explained in detail all the content for Patch 3.4, “Soul Surrender,” releasing on September 27. The new patch includes new main scenario quests, dungeons, trials, the final stage of the 8-player raid Alexander, and more.

The third anniversary also continues in-game with “The Rising” seasonal event, a celebration of remembrance, featuring fun activities and exciting in-game rewards for players to enjoy.
