Hidemi Matsuzuka has revealed Square Enix is working on a new Hatsune Miku Play Arts Kai figure. Today, he also shared a special illustration made by the Kingdom Hearts III director, Tetsuya Nomura, who is well known from his main character designs in the Final Fantasy series too!
Hatsune Miku is a 16 years old Japanese superstar who is well known from Vocaloid which is a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media. Being a humanoid persona hasn’t stopped her touring all over the world because she performs onstage as an animated projection. Hatsune Miku has also opened shows for international superstars and icons such as Lady Gaga during the artRAVE: the ARTPOP Ball concerts.

I’m hearing about this Miku thing everywhere now, especially surprised she/it was on Letterman.
I loved the design. Really the nomura is a great designer. I Love his works! ^^
I used to be a huge fan of Miku, so I think I might as well pick this up eventually. Nomura’s drawing of her is lovely as well!
