Square Enix has announced on the official website that the game is truly arriving for PlayStation 4 in May 2015 in Japan. The collection contains the same contents as the PS3/PSVita versions and the update doesn’t mention are there any update features. Expect more details shortly.
The speculation of the new generation version started a few days ago, when the Square Enix France boutique accidentally listed the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster, but quickly took down the page. Alongside the Final Fantasy X games , Square Enix is planning to re-release the PC version of Final Fantasy VII for PS4 this Spring as well.
