Final Fantasy XV Delayed

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XV is releasing worldwide on November 29, 2016. The game was originally scheduled for release on September 30, 2016, but the development team has decided to postpone the release in order to polish and quality test, so Final Fantasy XV can match their highly set standards.

During the video message, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata apologizes the delay and goes deeper into detail: One of the main reasons for the new release date was avoiding a massive “Day One Patch” and offer the complete experience for all fans. This allows people to enjoy the game in the form it was intended to be at the first place even if they don’t have access to internet or high download speeds. Alongside the patch, they will be including more changes and content in the game. He also mentions that Final Fantasy XV will be playable at Gamescom later this week with a new 30-minute gameplay trailer releasing tomorrow.

Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy will be releasing digitally on August 30, 2016. Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV will also follow its digital release schedule, but both movie and anime’s physical disc release dates remain open.
