Square Enix has shown 10 minutes of new gameplay footage from Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age at Tokyo Game Show 2016. The HD remaster offers the first opportunity for the Western fans to experience Final Fantasy XII: International Zodiac Job System – a definitive version of Final Fantasy XII released exclusively in Japan nearly a decade ago.
This footage is from the same demo we already played at E3 2016 and we are looking forward to share our preview soon as the new version of Square Portal is ready for launch later this Fall. The HD remaster includes trophies, a newly recorded soundtrack, improved technical performance, auto-save, shorter loading times, high speed mode, a a 12-job character progression system and a new trial mode where players can take on monsters and enemies in up to 100 successive battles.
Final Fantasy XII originally launched in 2006 for the PlayStation 2 takes place in the grand world of Ivalice, where the small kingdom of Dalmasca is left in ruin and uncertainty. Princess Ashe, the one and only heir to the throne, devotes herself to the resistance to liberate her country. Vaan, a young man who lost his family in the war, dreams of flying freely in the skies.
