Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call will feature a variety of new songs and characters from Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Final Fantasy Type-0, and more! It also includes new features such as Quest mode which can be seen in the trailer above.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call is due to be released on the Nintendo 3DS for Japan in April 24th 2014.

Looks like they added a bit of a map during the quests – can move your character forward to progress through the area
I also know that there is a new type of field event – much like running or using a Chocobo – you use an airship
There are new enemies like Golbez, Zeromus, Gigantuar, King Behemoth, Reno…. – just to name a few
When you run out of HP instead of dying your score decreases – and when playing against an opponent like the CPU you earn ranks based on your performance (Gold, Silver, Bronze) :)
