Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation is now available on iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Android devices. The smartphone version features a unique party system where players can create and customize their party members and change their vocations to create a “truly unique” party as players scour through the world.
The third title in the Erdrick sage, DRAGON QUEST III: The Seeds of Salvation takes place on the land of Aliahan, where legendary warrior Ortega has been killed by monster Archfiend Baramos. Continuing his father’s quest, a 16-year-old hero has been charged with an impossible task, one even his father was not strong enough to complete – slay Baramos, the master of darkness. The storyline is independent from DRAGON QUEST I and DRAGON QUEST II so players that haven’t played the previous iterations will be able to experience the full experience.
Key features include:
- New Mini-Games – New mini-games allow for medal collecting to unlock powerful new items that were not available in the original release. Players can also discover and explore bonus dungeons and locations after completing the main plot.
- Freely Changeable Vocations – Party members can be assigned up to nine vocations, a choice that will dictate their stats, equipment, spells and abilities. Players can turn a priest into a warrior to add healing abilities to their swordsman’s arsenal, or mix it up as the possibilities are endless. They can also travel across multiple continents and dungeons as their characters level up and unlock new spells and abilities.
- Freely Customizable Party System – Players can set out on an adventure with a party of up to four characters who can be customized (name, gender and jobs) to exact specifications at Patty’s Party Planning Place. The in-game personality system changes as the character grows, making each party unique.
- Simple, Intuitive Controls – Designed to work perfectly with the vertical layout of devices, the position of the movement button can be changed to facilitate both one- and two-handed play.
