Microsoft and Square Enix have announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider is one of Xbox One titles that sold over a million copies in 2015. The game was exclusively released at the end of November for Xbox One and is heading to PlayStation 4 in late 2016. During the first quarter of 2016, the game will be hitting Steam as it gets released on PC.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is set a year after the events of the previous game. Lara Croft is struggling to explain her experience of the supernatural on Yamatai and is looking for answers. Before his death, Lara’s father was trying to find a solution to his research into the lost city of Kitezh and the promise of immortality. Following her father’s steps, Lara is hoping to uncover the truth.
Immortality could be used as cure to make the world a better place, but as usual, criminals are after it too. As Lara travels through the ruthless wilderness of Siberia she challenges Trinity — an ancient order of knights now exists as a paramilitary organization which is also investigating the supernatural. Who finds the treasure at first?
Rise of the Tomb Raider is now available for Xbox One.
