Square Enix has sent us a big bunch of exclusive screenshots and announcement to make! Nosgoth enters open beta this winter, and all gamers are invited to join in the fun! Can’t wait? We got you covered!

The Free Weekend will be starting on 7th August when you download and play the game for free! All players will be rewarded with Double XP as well as an exclusive in-game badge, so it’s worth giving a chance for the game since it’s free! Not interested? What does participating in the free weekend mean?

• Chance to play a game for free – no strings attached – No need to register, no need to become a Founder or obtain a Beta Key.
• Chance to play a game early.
• Having a say in a game’s development – we actively encourage feedback to help improve the game experience.
• Being rewarded for getting involved – everyone who plays will get an Exclusive Badge indicating they took part during this weekend.

What happens after the promotion has ended?

Square Enix gives new users to the Closed Beta who joined during the promotion several options:

• Do nothing and feel free to come back when we launch Open Beta in the Winter.  We’ll save all your progress against your Steam profile so you can pick up where you left off if you do chose to come back to Nosgoth.
• Register for Permanent Access to the Closed Beta.  We’ll save all your progress against your Steam profile so you can pick up where you left off when your application is successful.
• Become a Nosgoth Founder and gain permanent access to the Closed Beta.  We’ll save all your progress against your Steam profile so you can pick up immediately where you left off.

What if I make in-game purchases during the FREE WEEKEND promotion?

• Any purchases using GOLD will be saved in your Steam profile should you decide to come back to Nosgoth after the end of the FREE WEEKEND.
• Anyone who purchases Runestones or a Founders Pack during the FREE WEEKEND will automatically be granted permanent access to the Nosgoth Closed Beta.
