Takeharu Ishimoto has revealed that the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD soundtrack will be remastered partially.
When discussed with Famitsu, Takeharu Ishimoto revealed that the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD soundtrack needed to be rearranged and re-mixed because it was originally designed for PSP speakers. With the HD remaster, the quality had to be improved for TV speakers in order to make it “a new generation Final Fantasy” worthy experience. Ishimoto-san also joked that it would be physically impossible to remaster the whole soundtrack due to timing and getting a small budget. He also teased that there will be a brand new battle theme.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Blu-Ray Soundtrack is scheduled for release in March 2015 and will also contain Final Fantasy Agito music. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be releasing on March 17 in North America, March 19 in Japan and March 20 in Europe.
Takeharu Ishimoto is a composer and synthesizer programmer at Square Enix. He joined the company in 1999 as a synthesizer programmer and worked on several games such as Legend of Mana. Later he became a composer for titles like The World Ends with You, Final Fantasy Type-0 and Dissidia: Final Fantasy.
