Are you interested in contributing content for the leading Square Enix news site?

Position: Japanese Translator (Written/Spoken)
Salary: Free Games & Press Access to Events*
Deadline: Open / Closing Immediately After Right Applicant Is Found

We have opened a position for a Japanese translator. If you have great knowledge of Japanese and fluent understanding of the language, you are the right person. Living in Japan is a huge bonus and we can help you to participate in press events there as well. Meeting and interviewing game developers is naturally part of the job. As usual, passion towards video games is very recommended.

Many companies tell this during their work resumes, but for us a new member is always a family member – we are sisters and brothers here. Since Square Portal is a non-commercial indie news site, we can’t promise a steady salary, but it’s possible to receive free games for reviews and press access to events. These factors vary based on your location. Other great bonus is the possibility to get involved in the games industry and learn how things work behind the scenes. Meeting collogues and game developers can be really mind opening experience.

If you are interested in the position, please contact us via the contact form. Tell about yourself and previous experiences. Newcomers are welcome as well, but remember to attach samples of your translation work. This way we will see your skills and potential for the position. Attaching your Skype ID / Twitter is recommended but not required. It would help us to contact you quickly, if we feel that you are the right person for the position.
