Square Enix has finally re-released “The World Ends With You -Solo Remix-” on App Store, after the game became completely unplayable in Fall 2014 when iOS 8 was launched. After not finding a solution to fix the compatibility issues, Square Enix decided to suspend the game from App Store in early 2015 – making it impossible to purchase or re-download even if you bought the game. Starting today, it’s possible to play the game again on devices with iOS 8 or later.
The story follows a boy named Neku who wakes up in a crowded intersection, alone and unaware of how he got there. Then, he receives a weird text: “Clear this mission…or face erasure.” With that, Neku is thrust into a life-or-death game that sends him scrambling down streets paved with one riddle after another. Neko’s only hope is to survive seven days and fight for freedom and beat the Reaper’s Game.
The World Ends With You: Solo Remix was released for iOS in 2012 and in 2014 for Android. The game is available on App Store and Google Play Store for €17.99/$17.99.
