A screenshot from Final Fantasy Agito [Mobile]
We’re on gossip mode again. This article contains annoying yet very interesting speculation of the possible Western release of Final Fantasy Type-0 and its E3 2014 appear. Guess, this is a never-ending subject to talk about but when E3 is coming and fans are thirsty, this might actually be fun! Let’s do this!
In April, we arranged a special voting for Final Fantasy Type-0, where we asked you would like to see a HD remaster instead of a normal PSP release. Many things have happened after it: There has been lots of buzz around Final Fantasy Agito since its reveal and now that the mobile game is out for iOS and Android devices. Alongside that new rumors have begun to spread, but this time they were actually started by Square Enix France’s teasing on Twitter. Those tweets are gone for good, but internet people are always so rude and annoying that they capture screenshots of everything – even random tweets made for random users.

The infamous Final Fantasy Type-0 tweet: “As an old friend would say: be patient and see what E3 may bring.”
1. Teasing tweets deleted!
The picture above shows screenshot of tweets made by FFWorld, a random user and Square Enix France. In tweets, FFWorld reports about Final Fantasy Agito launch trailer where a random person replies with “We want Type-0” while indirectly mentioning Square Enix France. Later SE FR’s replies: “As an old friend would say: be patient and see what E3 may bring.” This would have been okay as a normal teasing/jokr but for some reason the tweets are now deleted when people got curious about them. This has lead to speculation that this may be a hint that something is going on behind the scenes. In the end, FFWorld will be slapping SE FR about thirty times if anything doesn’t happen at E3, so we have some entertaining drama after E3, if Type-0 doesn’t make an appear there.
2. Producer has stated multiple times the Western version is in the works!
The producer of Final Fantasy Type-0, Tabata, has stated several times that the Western version of the game is in the works in a few interviews. At first he mentioned it in USGamer’s interview:
USG: So the prospect of a localized Type-0 isn’t entirely off the table?
HT: Yes, it will definitely be localized.
Well, let me modify this statement a bit. [Type-0’s localization] is in the final stages of consideration. It’s definitely the direction that we want to go in. Nothing is absolutely concrete right now with release dates or anything like that. But it’s definitely something that we want to do. “
The second time he mentions it on Famitsu interview:
前例として、『拡散性ミリオンアーサー』があるので、可能性はあります。ただ、『FFアギト』は海外展開も視野に入れているのですが、それ以前に『FF零式』が海外で発売されていないので、そのあたりを検討するのが先でしょうね。
3. Final Fantasy Agito assets re-used for the HD remaster?
Final Fantasy Agito is out now for iOS and Android devices. It’s a reimagination of Final Fantasy Type-0 with new and upgraded graphics, higher resolution and improved effects. Since all areas and character models have been remade for higher resolution, it may be possible they can be used for the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Remaster. Let’s put this other way, Agito supports iPad’s 2048×2048 resolution beautifully and it would look great even on a Full HD TV. Could Square Enix have developed this mobile game while keeping an eye on the possible HD remaster as well?
4. Surprisingly Empty 2014 and E3…
Another interesting fact is that the end half of 2014 seems oddly empty for Square Enix. They have only two titles planned for the end of 2014, Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix and Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Curtain Call. E3 is the biggest game industry expo here in the West. It’s only and a great chance to promote the game for the Western fans, who have been waiting for the possible localization over three year. In addition, Square Enix has recently been very fan-friendly towards its community: Drakengard 3 will be released in North America and Europe this week, and after fans feedback Square Enix Europe decided to release a collector’s edition. Perhaps they will be making more surprises at E3, but it’s also recommended to prepare for a disappointment.
What do you think? Could these be legit reasons for getting a HD remaster for Final Fantasy Type-0?

these reasons are not convincing. :(
